B-PB sat down with Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen’s band The Pretty Reckless at Warped Tour. Find out about their favorite bands on Warped Tour and what they think of their own bandmates, below the cut.

Meet the members of The Pretty Reckless:

Taylor Momsen – Vocals,

Ben Phillips – Guitar,

Mark Damon – Bass,

Jamie Perkins – Drums.

Q: So you guys just released your new EP a few weeks ago; how has your fan reaction been and what are your favorite songs on the EP?

Taylor Momsen: Well we like all of the songs on the EP, we wrote them all. The fan reaction is cool. It’s been very positive, that without words is what the fan reaction is.

Q: What have your favorite moments on Warped Tour been so far, and what bands do you like to watch?

Taylor Momsen: Our favorite moments on Warped Tour?

Q: Like maybe a specific crowd?

Taylor Momsen: Well we had a great Crowd in Canada. Montreal was awesome, Toronto was really great. I think those were the highlight shows.

Q: What bands have you been watching?

Taylor Momsen: Reverend Payton’s Big Damn Band. They’ve been fantastic. Very authentic bluegrass, blues, country-ish gospel-ness, just supercool. The Dillenger Escape Plan were kick ass too, and Every Time I Die.

Q: Can you tell a secret about everyone in the band?

Taylor Momsen: Jamie hates onions

Jamie Perkins: I hate onions.

Ben Phillips: Mark’s a woman, Taylor’s a man.

Mark Damon: And Ben’s really straight.

Ben Phillips: Did you just fucking say that?

Jamie Perkins: And Ben actually doesn’t know everything.

Taylor Momsen: And Ben likes to walk out on interviews, Ben likes to leave. He’s very sensitive. I think hes left a good, how many interviews now? Quite a few, most of them. I think hes walked out of most of them.

Q: What are your plans after Warped Tour?

Taylor Momsen: Tour. Our record comes out the end of the summer and we’re very excited for it to be out. And we’re going to England and we’re playing V fest. Which is going to be awesome. I think we’re playing two days actually. So we’re very siked for that.

Q: Do you have any set tour plans for the Fall?

Taylor Momsen: Uhm, V-Fest and I’m not sure what else yet.

Q: For the guys, what is it like being on tour with a girl? And for Taylor, what is it like being on tour with a bunch of guys?

Taylor Momsen: It’s like being on tour with a bunch of girls.

Mark Damon: It’s like being on tour with a guy.

Taylor Momsen: Hey! Its okay for me to call you girls. But if I’m a man, that’s just not cool.

Mark Damon: No no no, it’s very cool, like we’re all very chill.

Taylor Momsen: I’M A LADYYY!

Mark Damon: Everyone gets along great.

Q: Would you do Warped Tour again next year?

Taylor Momsen: If they ask us, yeah! But right now we have no idea what we’re doing next year. So far its been great, we have no complaints. Ask us at the end of the tour and we’ll have a better answer.

Q: Lastly, what can fans look forward to in the new album and are there any secrets you can give away about it?

Taylor Momsen: A rock record, its not something that’s been seen for a while. So we’re trying to bring it back. Secrets? Buy it. I don’t know I don’t think there are any secrets.

Mark Damon: It really is Taylor’s voice on the record, not computer generated not altered at all, that’s how she sings.
